Running into issues with your campaigns and not sure what to do? We went through dozens of affiliate chats and found answers to a couple of frequently asked questions from the community:
Q: My campaign is running, but no conversations are showing in Ads Manager, even though I’m getting inquiries from the ads. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?
A: Here’s where you should look:
1. Double-check your campaign objective and events in Facebook Ads Manager. If you’re using the “Messages” objective, make sure it’s correctly selected in the campaign setup.
2. Is your Facebook Pixel or Conversions API properly set up and tracking all events? It should be active and passing data correctly.
3. If you’re using Messenger or WhatsApp to receive messages, check the notification settings and access permissions — something may be blocked or misconfigured.
4. If you’re using creatives that don’t align with the campaign goal (e.g. an image or video with no message button), this could lead to no messages showing in reports.
5. User privacy settings can also play a role — with recent privacy policies and data collection restrictions, some actions may not appear in your reports.
Bonus tip: Use UTM tags and site-level click tracking to double-check performance data.
Q: Getting the error “Invalid ad create parameters: Invalid ad create” after submitting for review — what does it mean?
A: This could happen for several reasons:
• Facebook is rolling out updates to its algorithms, which may cause previously approved ads to start throwing errors. Try recreating the ad with slight changes to the copy, creative, or campaign settings.
• You might’ve chosen unsupported or unstable settings/features during ad creation or submission for review.
• The issue could also be account- or Business Manager-related. Try setting up the same campaign on a different ad account or Business Manager to test.
