Interviewing Konstantin, creator of the CPA Wanderer channel

Hello, everyone!

Affiliate marketing is not only about ROI, traffic, and ad campaigns. It is also about finding non-standard solutions, adapting to market changes, and, of course, a creative approach. Our guest today is Konstantin, an affiliate with many years of experience, a nutra specialist, and the creator of the CPA Wanderer Telegram channel, known in the affiliate marketing world under the nickname Knowmoresleepless.

In this interview, you will learn how to go from mining bitcoins to being a successful creative, why nutra is going through hard times, and whether beginners should try themselves as solo affiliates. Konstantin also shared his thoughts on the future of the market and gave advice on designing working creatives.

Are you ready for a powerful dose of insights and an honest conversation about the realities of the industry? Then let’s go!

Hello! So first, please tell our readers, how long you’ve been working in affiliate marketing? How did you get into the field?

Hello to all readers! My name is Konstantin… and I’m an alcoholic! 🤓 I guess I could start like that… but fortunately, it’s not like that and I’m not an alcoholic, but a full-fledged affiliate specializing in the nutra vertical. 😎🥳

As for the beginning of my journey, it started long before I got into the affiliate marketing sphere. The thing is, I’ve been trying to find the philosopher’s stone for most of my life and understand:

“How can you not work and still earn money?!” If anybody’s wondering, I still haven’t found it! 😜

Two years ago, I had a wife and a small bitcoin mining business. And since mining was done via the Internet, I was eager to study different moneymaking ideas and try to apply them in practice.

My first steps began as the creator of the Zen channel – I was doing rewriting and earned my first 10 thousand. 🤑 Of course, it was a joyful moment, but at the same time I understood that this was not the money and I wanted to earn more.

Since I had a lot of free time, I started trying everything in a row, from betting schemes to photo retouching in a graphic editor … (I really sat 24/7 watching Photoshop courses) 🤠

One day I came across affiliate marketing and decided to delve into the topic. At first, I studied Google, but never figured out its search keys. Then I tried MyTarget – I could not pass moderation. And just at that moment TikTok appeared, I ran my ad there and got a small ROI. But I did not like constantly making video creatives, so I decided to try Facebook.

Among the old ones, there is a small observation, if Facebook chooses you, you will immediately catch on a great ad campaign approach. (Yes-yes, it’s me! And I’m one of those! 🙃)

That’s how it happened, I drove traffic to safe-to-sell offers, they were rose seeds (this offer will always be in my memory) and got a great campaign approach… And since Facebook is a technically complex source, and my education is Information Technology in The Sphere of Media I stayed here and was advertising everything I could just for fun and gaining the profit 😃

How did the idea of creating the channel https://t.me/creativeforcpa come about?

For some period of time, I felt more than comfortable, my crypto business was scaling up, I was sitting at home and trying to drive traffic for fun… I remember finding a CPA for crypto, called their management and said,

Like, I have a crypto business, so give me a campaign approach, I’ll find people and make you money 😂 (Of course, I didn’t understand at all how to work with crypto offers, and in the gray vertical in general)

Everything was mostly fine with me until February 24, 2022, until the well-known events happened…

Bitcoin began to rapidly fall, I understood that I needed to do something, and since affiliate marketing was still interesting to me, I knew that there was money in this area, I began to think about how I could monetize my knowledge.

My creative side suggested I need to make creatives for affiliate campaigns, see what will have success, and drive the traffic myself… That’s how the channel appeared. 🤪

Why creatives? Why didn’t you just make a channel about affiliate marketing or continue to drive traffic?

Oh, wow… At that time, I had no idea how to work with gray verticals, only general knowledge in theory. I was one of those who sit in chats and give advice on how to drive traffic, but I myself was banned… haha 😅 And since my main experience was with white (or safe-to-sell) offers, there was nothing special for me to write about…

But with creatives, everything was different, I didn’t just look at references, I tried to make creatives that really bypass moderation algorithms and, in general, I succeeded.

You’ve been working with nutra for a long time. Tell us, have your approaches and, in general, your work with this vertical changed much over the past couple of years?

I worked as a creative for about 4-5 months, so to speak, back then my crypto business was living out its last days and that was an opportunity to earn pennies.

One day, my wife (now my ex-wife) and I were planning to go south for a month. I understood that I needed to go work with ads in the grey direction since it would’ve been impossible to survive off of the earnings from a channel based on ad creatives. 😏 I remember some people ordered creatives from me and invited me to join the Nutra team, direct advertising.

Well, I ended up in a scam team where they scammed affiliates… That’s a whole another story, but the point is that I’ve been working in Nutra, for 2 years… 😬

Regarding the approaches to creatives – you know, in my subjective opinion, nothing has changed globally. Yes, moderation has become stricter, and AI recognizes super-aggressive approaches better… But in general, everything is the same: you can make drawn porn creatives, put explicit pictures in the background, etc. Not to mention the product approach.

You know, I have this idea that Zuckerberg cares about affiliates – even if not from the point of view of profit, then at least because platform users can find everything: medicines, casinos, options, sports betting, finance, etc. And this directly affects engagement and coverage, which are so important for advertisers.

Someone call Nutra evergreen, and someone is sure that it is dying and going in other directions. What do you think about this?

My opinion is that Nutra is dying… Like they are trying to save it by increasing payments… But since affiliate programs are only intermediaries between direct advertising and publishers, this is exactly the part of the payment that is missing. 😞 If Tier-1 can still drive some ROI, then the Tier-3 sector is a dead overheated auction and you can only earn money on them in a team with large volumes, where ROI gives 20% Revenue over a distance.

Where is the market heading? Solo affiliates in Nutra are gradually moving into teams, or requires working with large budgets in Tier-1. SS offers will come to life – payments are higher, you can do without call centers. I believe more verticals will appear. In general, global affiliate marketing as a sphere will remain and will develop.

What do you think, is it worth developing your personal brand in affiliate marketing? Does it give significant advantages?

To be honest, I have never developed a channel in the form of my brand, although I have an idea to go mostly into the media. So that you understand, I not only work with Nutra, but also work with 2 large media projects from our sphere.

At one time, the name of the channel corresponded to my field of activity – “CreativeforCPA”, but the more I went into the media and stopped providing the service of designing creatives, my colleague and friend from the FB-Killa forum suggested that I rebrand the channel and now it is called “CPA Wanderer – The Path from Creatives to Media

As for my high-profile coverage due to the channel… No, at the moment it does not provide me that popularity 🙂 I have not worked with different CPA platforms for a looooong time 🙂 And with those who I keep in touch from affiliates, it is more like friendly communication and in one case a personal acquaintance, and in another a trusting relationship for 1.5 years… 😊 What I mean is that I do not ask for payout bumps, I do not jump from one affiliate network to another… But perhaps there was simply no need yet 🙂

We know that you are the creator of a cool course on affiliate marketing for beginners. How difficult do you think it is to get into the field now? And is it worth trying to drive traffic solo, or is it better to join a team?

Thank you for your kind words and for evaluating the course! 🙂 I am very pleased, honestly! ☺️

By the way, a course on gambling is currently being written, where everything is also explained in detail and is conducted from block to block. If you follow the steps according to the manual, you can get your first payout very soon 🤑

Courses are, of course, good, and given that they are free … But even with all this accessibility, not everyone wants to study and learn something new. The trouble with our field is that influencers bring newcomers to us with the idea ofquick money… Accordingly, if a newcomer is inquisitive and caught fire with our field, they can study everything on their own and, if they have a budget, they can drive a profit … But since in addition to the traffic driving system, there are a lot of nuances, the best solution would be to go to the team.

Of course, we will not ignore the issue of designing creatives. Please give some advice to our readers: tips and tricks / life hacks / trends?

You know, I never followed trends and life hacks, because when I was a creative, I tried to come up with something of my own… I really didn’t lurk into spying services and in the Facebook Ad Library, because everything found there had already been studied by the algorithm. I tried my own ways. 🥸

And when I started setting up ad campaigns on my own, I no longer sat over designing creatives. I found an offer to advertise and, based on analytics and references from creatives that are in the campaign approach, I made my own based on them.

The most important thing is to understand that now there are a lot of creatives for different verticals and Facebook users have banner blindness, so they need to be hooked from the first seconds, the creative must be: BRIGHT – COLORFUL – JUICY and with a clearly defined CTA and the creative itself must have the PAIN – SOLUTION link

Do you use neural networks? If so, which ones?

Yes, of course… I don’t run around looking for some better solution, my most important and basic neural network is ChatGPT. 🥳 And since I have a paid subscription to it, all the functions that are available suit me.

She (because that’s how I wrote to her to respond) is my friend and secretary and, in general, an assistant in learning English and a marketer… in short, she is everything! 🙂

At the same time, I don’t write any prompts, since I use it exclusively in searching for information or ideas for solving some of my questions.

Do you regret focusing on the media sphere and minimizing your advertising work?

No! 🙂 In fact, I like working with creatives. I love writing, I love my field and work, etc. I can work 24/7 and not get tired, without exaggeration.

In the media sphere, I realize my creative potential, whereas in advertising there was a need for technical work on the code side. Although I am not a coder or a techie, I can do everything that is required for driving the traffic myself.

What was the biggest failure in your affiliate marketing career? How did you manage to fix it?

It is not a failure, but rather what prompted me to leave driving traffic for the media sphere 🤪 I found a campaign approach with one affiliate network, brought them great volumes, but there was no approval. I told the manager to give me a guarantor of approval, he said it was impossible. I found an offer in another affiliate network, agreed on driving traffic, but I still had no approval, although the volume was about $300 daily… I drove that traffic for a week… With hope for the best and that they will hold out for approval… In the end, the manager did not lie up to their promises and I was left without a budget. F*ck, I was so angry!

From that moment on, I went exclusively to media and working with texts, it took me a long time to recover and I hated all managers… 😜

Do you often attend conferences? Should we expect you as a speaker? 🙂

I’ve mostly visited the BroConf. And I found my love there 🙂 😍 I would be glad to be there more often, but I live in Egypt and can’t always fly out. We are planning to go to Asia, they organize conferences there more often and it seems like flights to neighboring countries will not be so expensive…

And so, I do want that, YES! 🙂 And most likely I will come to this. I have already gradually started hosting podcasts… I have plans… I need a topic that really catches my attention, and not just more words in the air about successful success! 😎

What do you like about your work? What motivates you?

It’s hard to say, it’s easier to ask what I don’t get the motivation from… Everything brings me pleasure. And motivation comes from prospects, that is, I clearly understand where I’m going, what will happen in the future and how to build my mini empire. 🗽

And it’s not even about money, everything goes gradually for me, from less to more. Money comes when there is expertise and the more it is, the more money. At the same time, I understand that everything will need to be delegated in time, and not run like a locomotive.

In general, I work on everything, everything is being built and there are plans for implementation. And since I’m already quite a few years old, there is no turning back.

I live by the motto, “I see the goal – I see no obstacles! 😈”

What are your plans for the year? What goals do you set for yourself? Maybe you are planning some new projects?

I wrote a post about my plans, they have not changed globally, only some features of the projects. PLANS TO CAPTURE THE WORLD OF AFFILIATE MARKETING! 😝

And traditionally: what would you like to wish to those who read the article to the end?

I wish everyone who is passionate about affiliate marketing to find their goal and their path and follow it to the end, I wish that each of you (those who like to finish what they’ve started!) becomes as rich as you can imagine.

And don’t forget, the affiliate’s path is the beginning of the path in the affiliate marketing community and you have 1000 roads to implement, but the basis is one – traffic!

Good luck to everyone and get that high CR!)
